A walk through 2019

       Love is a beautiful thing, only when you find the right person........
      My girlfriend and designer got  married this year.
      And I interviewed her and her is what she had to say.

Me : hello latest and prettiest bride!

Mrs: hello Karen

Me: how are you doing?

Mrs: am good,you?

Me: how did this beautiful story happen?

Mrs: its divine

Me:  I know its divine but it started from somewhere, you didn't just meet your selves today?




Mrs: Why I say it's divine is this
 The wife of Pastor Eneh, Dcn Dorcas Eneh
 On arrival told us she has a burden for sisters and women ministry. She started with a 3 day retreat which ended on Saturday with a fast 6-6pm
 During the fast she raised several prayer points which we prayed. This particular one was for me but I never knew I just prayed.


 She said we should pray that wherever our spouses which he has destined for us are maybe in a different state or country, that he should divinely connect us.

Me: beautiful



 Mrs:  3 months after, God brought him my way. I had other weddings to attend.
 And I was determined to attend both so I was contemplating on what to wear as I had practically worn all I had for weddings
 As I was contemplating, I said a silent prayer in my heart " Lord as I am celebrating with others let my own day come"

Me: Amen




Mrs:  Suddenly a voice told me go and wear that cloth. It was so clear and I jumped up from the bed to go and look for that dress
  It's been long since I heard a voice like that.  The dress in question was the one I made for showcase while graduating from fashion school
  Immediately after the graduation I dumped it somewhere, I've never worn it before, I totally forgot about it until that day, that's 2 years after
 I rushed to the market and got the necessary things and was able to fix it
My dear I was ready to pepper them, I was ready to slay I was ready to look my best for that wedding. But I was did is appointed

Me : I can understand





Mrs: Not even a single hello or compliment throughout the event, I was really disappointed.

Just to cheer myself up, I reluctantly snapped few shots with a friend's phone while we were going home still feeling so disappointed
Not knowing God wanted to do it another way

Me: this is getting interesting


Mrs: The next day I received a message from someone, he saw those pictures and dropped a message that he wants us to be together
I was shocked, I thought he was crazy, I didn't even want to consider such so I resisted but he keep on pushing
Then somehow that voice again said, " what if this is it" and I decided to give it a try

Me : I love this!







Mrs: We got to talk, I discovered a lot about him, he visited uyo, the second visit he came to the house and met my Mum
Made his intentions known, I became comfortable and it started from there. Though there were challenges, disagreements because God was with us he perfected all that concerned us

Me: so far your love story is the most beautiful I have heard of and even seen. May you be happy always.
So, what advise can you give to single ladies who are hoping and praying?


Mrs: Just trust in God, he knows what's best for us.

Maternal death; a cause for concern

I was in a hospital somewhere in Africa for some days and the rate of maternal/obstetric emergency was alarming, not due to the hospital's negligence but due to clients negligence! I felt so sad and I got the inspiration to write about this topic. Every single day approximately 830 women die from causes related to child birth, and these can be highly prevented. In a very brief definition, maternal death is a death of a woman pregnant or within 42days of termination of pregnancy due to medical or any cause. Cause of maternal death could be direct or indirect.
