WORLD CUP ENDS IN A GRAND STYLE WITH FRANCE WINING THE CUP

France and Croatia played in the final game of this year's world cup and France won Croatia,4-2 respectively.

France had just won the 21st FIFA cup. This is coming for France the second time since 1998. It's 20 years gap.

There is a lot of celebration in France.  A lot of  fans  gathered at the Eiffel tower to watch the finals,on massive 140 square meter television screen at the foot of the tower. History has been made again.

Kylain Mbappe won the best young player of the tournament. He is the youngest among the 11 golden boys.

Luka Modric wins the award of the golden ball. He is the first Croatian to win such award. He is the second to win an award despite the loss of his team after Lionel Messi.

Belgium's Thibaut Courtois won the golden glove award

England's Harry Kane won the golden boot. He is the first to win that kind of award since 1986 Garry Lineker won such. He scored six goals in the tournament. The 24-year-old is quite influential.

Spain won 2018 world cup fair play trophy. Had only one red card,fouled 59 times and committed only 32 fouls. Each player is set to receive a medal for this award with 50,000 US dollars worth of football equipment to be gifted by FIFA to the grass root game in Spain.

Gianni Infanito FiFA's chief has labelled the 2018 tournament as the best in history! He said "it's been the best world cup in history"

President of The United States of America, Donald Trump, also congratulated France after the world cup win over Croatia.  He said "Congratulations to France who played extraordinary soccer and winning the 2018 world cup". He also praised the president of Russia for hosting the tournament. Here is he said " Additionally,congratulations to president Putin and Russia for putting on a truly great world cup tournament -one of the best ever!"

Hard work and determination pays! France takes home a whooping sum of £29 million.
Croatia takes home £21 million.
Belgium takes home £18 million.
England takes home £16.5 million.


While those eliminated at quarter finals takes home £12. 1 million.
Those eliminated at round of 16 will take home £9 million.
Those eliminated at group stage will take home £6 million.

Preparation fee for the 32 teams is £1.2 million.

Every team in this tournament did their best. There must be a winner in every competition. Those teams that couldn't make it have the next four years to prepare. Let's learn from this.....
