HALITOSIS

Halitosis, wondering what it is? Its a clinical term for bad breath.

It is not an illness but can be a symptom of a illness.

It is embarrassing. It can spoil ones look or out fit.

It has a lot of causes. But here are some major causes;

• Dental cavities.
• Gum diseases.
• Inflammation of the tongue causing   coating of the tongue.
• Poor oral hygiene.
• Respiratory infections e.g sore    throat.
• Ulcers
• Intestinal disorders.

Like I wrote earlier there are so many causes and you solve according to the causes.
Here are some ways to tackle it.
• Brush at least twice a day. Carefully  brush and scrape the tongue to    remove coating.
• Floss regularly to remove particles  wedged between the teeth.
• Replace tooth brush every two or  three months
• Remove dentures every night and  wash them before fixing them back  where required
• Chew basil or mint leaves. The have  chlorophyll that neutralizes bad  odours
• Go for regular dental check up  regularly.
• Use mouth wash to gaggle every morning.
• Crunchy fruits (apples) and vegetables (carrots) have cleaning properties that prevent bad breath.
• Chew a small thoroughly washed lemon or orange rinds. It stimulate the salivary glands and  fights bad breath.

Try these and see if it works for you.
